How to generate, place, and track promo links.

Custom params (subid1–subid5)

The dialog starts with subid1; use Add subid for subid2… up to subid5.

  • Values are stored on the short link and visible in Analytics.
  • On redirect, subid1–subid5 are appended; Amazon also maps subid1 to ascsubtag.
  • Optional — you can take links and track clicks without subids.

Examples

ParamExampleMeaning
subid1igChannel: Instagram
subid2post42Content ID
subid3storyFormat
subid4usMarket
subid5q4Campaign period

Link examples

You share the short link (params are bound server-side, not typed into the short URL).

https://trafseek.xyz/r/Ab12CdEf

After a click, the destination may look like:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09V3KXJPB?tag=yourtag-20&subid1=ig&subid2=post42&subid3=story&subid4=us&subid5=q4&ascsubtag=ig

Partial params work too, e.g. channel + content only:

…&subid1=tiktok&subid2=video88&ascsubtag=tiktok

Analytics

  • Analytics shows total clicks, 7-day trends, and per-link performance.
  • Clicks count only for traffic through /r/... short links.
  • Commission is an estimate by category, not settled payout — networks have the final say.

Notes

  • Tracking tags are platform-owned — you don’t enter affiliate tags yourself.
  • Cookie windows vary by network (often ~24h or longer); follow each program’s rules.
  • Content must follow affiliate policies — violations can void commissions or restrict accounts.
  • If linking fails, use a product detail URL from a supported marketplace.
